Great Blue on the Boom
I was at Little Lagoon Pass in Gulf Shores, AL last Friday and saw several herons taking turns fishing off the booms guarding the Pass from any oil that might come this way. It was quite comical to watch them balance on the booms as they watched the fish swimming by or when they would walk along the boom to relocate. By the way, I am very thankful to report the water is clear so far! The brown color on the water is just a reflection of the sea wall behind the bird.
